William Flood was a wealer dealer of all kinds he could sell ice to eskimos he was a extrovert extrovert and a lot of fun to be around he sold just about anything he could get his hands on like used car salesman anything he could sell on a distribution route he had built up business all over the Yakima Valley area and would always come by our Gas station convieient store to see what we needed. We often went to his home in Yakima where he a small storage building where he stored all of his stuff. He was always trying to get us to try something to see if it would sell in our small convenience store that we had turned one room into we sold bread milk Candy Pop Ice Cream and Candy bars and staple foods and snacks and oil and tires and antifreeze and car additives . Fred Kerrshaw was a older guy around late 50s or so when we first started our store he first started there stopped right off to help us to supply  it with what we needed . In those days my Dad didn't sell much at a profit he always cared and helped whoever and however he could looking out for others needs all the time the only problem was My Dear Old Dad had a big heart and a soft spot and ran credit with a lot of people and barter trade like old country docs use to do in the older days so he didn't make much profit and eventually we had to sell the place and move again to a place called Granger by now I was around 10 years old during this time my dad sure was a hard worker always at it helping and doing he would put in long hours often until very late at night out back working on someone scar truck or tractor. Also during the summer months Dad and I often would go out together in the neighborhood orchards and pick fruit together for extra money. My Dear Mummsy aka mom would stay behind at this time and pump gas and tend to our new store now .Dad and I would start picking fruit around sunrise up until about four in the afternoon. Boy those were the days.
